Now that we have the lovely teal rug I’ve been coveting, the living room is finally feeling like it’s coming together, and my focus is shifting to creating the perfect cozy space for the bedroom. We upgraded our mattress to a Westin Heavenly Bed during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this summer, but haven’t yet bought a bed frame. A fabric covered headboard is at the top of my list, with heavy drapes for the windows to keep out the cold; greys mixed with dark walls and bold accessories.

Currently I am detoxing a bit, from an amazing holiday weekend spent in Vancouver (Canada) eating the most delicious things to excess. Have you tried poutine? We tried it… 5 times! (fortunately there were 6 of us to share it all!) There are so many amazing restaurants in Vancouver, but our favorites were the Salt Tasting Room and Cafe Medina. Two absolutely fabulous experiences.

Have a lovely week!
And by space, I mean elbow room. I realized last night as an arm flopped across the front of me that it might be time to upgrade our bed from a full to a queen. Although, when we do, the bedroom will need some serious rearranging. We may have to wait a bit, now that we’ve put our house plans on hold for a year (of saving! hopefully…), but a girl can dream! I dream of a simple room with space and light… and a queen size bed.

A morning of blog skimming and pinning. Brunch? Errands.
Maybe new bedding, if I’m lucky. What are your Sundays like?
The morning’s faves:
A classic dress.
The perfect soup and sandwich tray.
How grown-ups make new friends.
This fall wedding.
Gorgeous stacked sapphire ring.
I want this breakfast now.
Eclectic sea-inspired living room.
A casual winter outfit.
For the bedroom.
Pretty, simple packaging.
One of my favorite things ever is new bedding. We didn’t register for any when we got engaged because I seem to change my mind so often. But I did fall in love with this gorgeous little throw from Nordstrom just before the wedding and have been on the hunt for the perfect quilt to complement the colors. It’s about that time of year when a few throws on the bed just won’t cut it!
Bloomingdale’s Sky Coverlet. Ultra soft! Not sure about the color yet, but it’s definitely the softest.
We tried the Jade, but it was a bit too light. I’m hoping the Patina (below) comes back in stock soon.
West Elm Herringbone Quilt. So happy they just opened a store in Seattle!
I think I’ll be checking these out this weekend.
DKNY Haven Quilt. Loving the texture on this one.
I want one of each!
