Phew! I can’t believe the holidays are over. It’s been a great year. So much time with friends and family; I took on a few new coking challenges this season: my first turkey and my first beef bourguignon; My amazingly talented friend Stella published her first book (and threw the best launch party!), I made about a thousand different soups (recipes to come soon), visited san francisco for a friend’s beautiful wedding (and ate our way through the town as usual), and finally started making my own stock regularly! It’s been a rewarding a fulfilling couple of months.
This weekend I’m starting Apartment Therapy’s January Cure. It’s a way to help you get your home a little more clean and organized, which in turn helps your life feel a little more clean and organized. I will admit to be a bit of a clutter monster. I love a clean house, but tend to still leave little piles of things everywhere (this week’s outfits in the bedroom, my nail care set over there, paperwork to-be-tackled, etc). I’m hoping with a little guidance and managable steps, I can get my organized chaos more… organized. Step 1: Floors and Flowers. I’m half done today with picking up a few bouquets of mums and daisies. Time to tackle the floors this weekend. There’s still time to sign up for the January Cure here if you’re interested.
Here’s a few pics from our wonderful holiday season:
Hope yours was just as lovely!
