We’ve got just under one month left until our Palm Springs vacation and I can hardly wait. I’m desperately in need of a little sun and relaxation. And maybe a new swimsuit. Lately I’ve gone for a little more coverage, but something about California makes me want a little bikini again. In a fun print. Maybe I’ll even get a teeny bit of tan on this Seattle skin!

While the husband and I were in Paris on our honeymoon, we did a bit of shopping. Well, maybe a little more than a bit! One of the shops I fell in love was Ted Baker; I tried on a gorgeous white dress and that was it. True love. I was thrilled to come home and find all the beautiful things available here in the states. Their winter lookbook is dreamy and whimsical, a fantastical interpretation of my favorite season, a perfect color palette of creamy winter whites and bold jewel hues.

Free People has always been one of my husband’s favorite brands. I love it in the summer, it’s easy breezy look and feel, but in the fall I’ve always gravitated toward a more structured look. Until now.
Plaid has been near and dear to my hear ever since my first plaid of plaid skinny pants I loved to death (or at least, until knee holes) in high school. The Free People August Lookbook is dripping with gorgeous plaids and mixed prints that make me pine for the turn to autumn.

Also, something about the Desperately Seeking Susan vibe of this model’s look makes me rather nostalgic and wanting to hit the video store… do they still have those?

Loving this weather! Bare legs twice this week. Hooray Seattle! We see so little of the sun, especially this early in the year. I’m taking advantage with all the dresses and skirts I can. This week’s obsession is shift dresses. I love the clean lines, bright colors and fun prints.

I’m kind of a fan of clutter, much to my husband’s disappointment. My desk is frightening, but I like to use the term, “organized mess.” It tends to carry over into my decorating style – I love to fill the walls!
With our house dreams moving closer and closer (rent hikes soon – eek!), my day dreaming has moved from decorating this space to decorating our yet unknown next space. Hopefully we have at least one giant, expansive wall space for me to play with, because the walls below are dreamy!
